Problem
On certain products equipped with 3300 Series Engines, the oil filter base assemblies do not have a passage between the filter by-pass valve port and the outlet port. Loss of oil pressure and/or leakage of oil from the seal between the oil filter and the base assembly can result if the filter is plugged.

Action Required
Remove and disassemble the existing oil filter base assembly. The existing base assembly may be reworked or a new base assembly installed. If a new oil filter base is to be used, install the new base, gasket, seals and filter. If the oil filter base is to be reworked, remove the plug and drill a 14 mm (.547") hole at the location shown in the illustration. Use care so the threads for the
