Release the pressure in the hydraulic system. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Hydraulic System Pressure - Release".

Disconnect eight hose assemblies (3) that are connected to bracket (2). Install plugs on both ends of hose assemblies (3). This procedure will prevent contaminants from entering the hydraulic system.
Disconnect eight hose assemblies (1) that are connected to bracket (2). Install plugs on the ends of hose assemblies (1). This procedure will prevent oil loss. This procedure also prevents contaminants from entering the hydraulic system.

Remove two bolts from bracket (4). Repeat Step 4 on the opposite side of the fore boom.
Remove five clamps (5) that secure hose assemblies to the top of the fore boom.
Roll hose assemblies (1) toward the back of the machine. Roll the hoses until the hoses are clear of the fore boom and out of the way.Note: It may be necessary to use a lifting sling and a hoist to roll the hoses to the back of the machine.

Remove three bolts (6) and one plate (7). Remove grease line (9) .

Note: It may be necessary to loosen bolts (11) and hose assembly (10).
Loosen hose assembly (10) that is on the head end of stub boom cylinder (8). Loosen four bolts (11) on the block that is located at the head end of stub boom cylinder (8) .

Attach a sling and a hoist to stub boom cylinder (8). Use a hammer and a punch to drive pin assembly (13) inward.

Lower stub boom cylinder (8) onto Tooling (A) .Note: It may be necessary to manually retract the cylinder. This procedure will allow the stub boom cylinder to clear the offset boom cylinder bracket.
Use a hammer to drive pin assembly (13) back to the original position. Install plate (7) and three bolts (6) .

Remove three bolts (15) and one plate (16). Remove grease line (17) .
Attach a sling and a hoist to stub boom cylinder (18). Use a hammer and a punch to drive pin assembly (13) inward. Lower stub boom cylinder (18) onto Tooling (A) .
Use a hammer to drive pin assembly (13) back to the original position. Install plate (16) and three bolts (15) .

Attach Tooling (B) to the fore boom and to a hoist. Attach Tooling (C) to pin assembly (13) and a hoist. Place a small amount of lifting tension on fore boom (14) and pin assembly (13) .

Attach a lifting sling to fore boom cylinder (21). Also attach the lifting sling to a hoist or a lift truck. Place a small amount of lifting tension on fore boom cylinder (21) .
Remove the grease line to the rod end of fore boom cylinder (21). Remove retaining bolt (19) and the washer. Use a hammer and a punch to remove pin assembly (20) .
Remove four clamps (22) from the base of stub boom (12) .
