Problem
Certain 5D4243 Lug Nuts in parts stock may not meet specifications. These lug nuts need to be removed from parts stock.
Action Required
Inspect all 5D4243 Lug Nuts in parts stock. Remove the lug nuts that do not meet specifications. A) 5D4243 Lug Nuts in parts stock that do not meet specifications are 16.3 mm (.64") thick and measure 28 mm (1.1") across the flats. These will fit in a 1 1/4" socket. B) 5D4243 Lug Nuts in parts stock that meet specifications are 20.62 mm (.812") thick and measure 33.32 mm (1.312") across the flats. These will not fit in a 1 1/4" socket.
Service Claim Allowances
Submit one claim for all 5D4243 Nuts removed from parts stock.
Parts Disposition
Handle the parts in accordance with your Warranty Bulletin on warranty parts handling.
