Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Cooling System Coolant (ELC) - Change" for the correct draining and filling procedures.
Open the hood and remove the left side engine panel.

Remove clip (1) and bolts (3). Remove engine compartment shield (2) .

Note: Note the location and orientation of clamp (4) for installation purposes.
Loosen clamp (4) and position hose (5) out of the way.

Remove bolts (6) and remove regulator housing (7) .

Discard seal (8). Remove valve (11) .
Clean bore (10) of any fluids or sealants.
Remove water temperature regulators (9) .Installation Procedure
Install water temperature regulators (9) in the reverse order of removal.
Apply Tooling (A) to bore (10) .
