Certain 0R8217 and 0R8218 Remanufactured WaterPumps (3406) may have a processing defect that will result in a very shortservice life. These pumps should not be installed.ACTION REQUIRED
Remove all 0R8217 and 0R8218 Remanufactured WaterPumps from dealer parts stock which have any of the following packagingdate codes:For 0R8217, any pumps with date codes ofMay 30th or 31st, 2001 must be returned.For 0R8218, any pumps with date codes of May21st, 22nd, or 29th and June 4th or 5th, 2001 must be returned. The packaging date code is locatedon the tamper resistant part number label on the box. The date code isformatted as DDMMYYXX where DD is the day, MM is the month, YY is the year,and XX is the facility. For example, a box marked with a date code of 300501HLwould indicate a part remanufactured on May 30, 2001 at facility HL.SERVICE CLAIM ALLOWANCES
Submit one claim for all 0R8217 and 0R8218 RemanufacturedWater Pumps removed from dealer parts stock.PARTS DISPOSITION
All dealers are to make sure the outsideof the shipping container is marked PI70027.
