Wheel Bearings
Lower the implement onto the ground and raise the walking beams off the ground.Note: The depth adjustment may need to be set to a deeper setting. See Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Implement Adjustments" for additional information.

Remove cap (1) .
Remove cotter pin (3) from nut (2) .
Remove nut (2) .
Remove washer (4) and bearing (5) .
Remove hub (7) from the axle.
Remove seal (11) and bearing (10) from the hub.
Inspect the following parts:
Bearing cup (9)
Bearing cup (6) If necessary, remove the bearing cups.
Clean the bearing and the hub.Note: Replace any parts that are worn or damaged. Make sure that the grease fitting works properly.
If the bearing cups were removed, install the bearing cup (9) and bearing cup (6). Make sure that the bearing cups are seated in the hub.
Pack bearings (5) and (10) with 5P-0960 Molybdenum Grease. Fill hub (7) with 5P-0960 Molybdenum Grease .Note: Replace seal (11) whenever the hub is removed.
Install bearing (10) into hub (7) .
Install seal (11) into the hub.
Coat the axle with oil. Slide hub (7) onto the axle.
Install bearing (5) and washer (4) .
Install nut (2) .
Tighten the nut until the hub turns with resistance.
Loosen the nut by one to two slots.Note: The hub should turn freely. The hub should not have any end play.
Install cotter pin (3) through nut (2). Bend the tab on pin (3) .
Install cap (1) .
Pump grease into the fitting on the hub.
Install the wheel and torque the nuts.Reference: See Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Wheel Bolt - Tighten" for additional information.
Repeat Steps 1 through 22 for the remaining wheels.Walking Beam
Lower the implement onto the ground and raise the walking beams off the ground.
Remove the tires from the walking beam that is being serviced.

If necessary, remove the wheel hub from the walking beam (10) that is being serviced.Reference: See "Wheel Bearings" for the procedure to remove the wheel hubs.Note: The wheel hub must be removed for the wheel hubs (eight bolt) that are used on the center section of the implement.
Remove cotter pin (19), nut (18) and washer (17) .
Remove nuts (15), lock washer (14) and retaining bolts (11) .
Remove plate (15) and bushing (16) .
Remove seal (12) and bearing (11) .
Remove walking beam (8) .
Remove bearing (5) and seal (4) from spindle (3) .
If necessary, remove bearing cup (7) and bearing cup (10) .
Inspect all of the components for damage or wear. Replace the damaged components or the worn components. Always replace the seals. Make sure that the grease zerk works properly.
If you remove the bearing cups, install new bearing cups.
Pack bearings (5) and bearing (11) with 5P-0960 Molybdenum Grease. Fill walking beam (8) with 5P-0960 Molybdenum Grease .
Install bearing (5) and seal (4) .
Install walking beam (8) and bearing (11) .
Install seal (12), plate (13), and bushing (16) .
Install bolts (1) through plate (2) and plate (13). Install washer (14) and nut (15) .
Install washer (17), and nut (18). Tighten the nut until the walking beam resist rotation. Loosen the nut by one notch and
