2. Remove bolts (2) and remove the cover assembly and transmission oil filter (1). 3. Remove nut (11) from stud (12). Remove element assembly (9). Remove the O-ring seal (7) from the cover assembly (4).4. Remove plug and O-ring seal (3), spring (6) and spool (8) from housing (10).5. Clean all parts thoroughly and check for wear. Make a replacement of any worn or damaged parts. Put a small amount of SAE 30 oil on the spool and install spool (8), spring (6) and plug and O-ring seal (3) in the housing (10). 6. Put the element assembly (9) in position on the stud (12) and install nut (11). Tighten nut to a torque of 10 2 lb.ft. (14 3 N m).7. Install new O-ring seals (5) and (7) on the cover assembly (4).8. Put the cover assembly and transmission oil filter (9) in the housing. Install the bolts that hold it.9. Install the floor plate.
