The individual 8J6557 Bearings in dealer Parts Stock and those bearings which are installed in the 8J6562 Roller Assemblies in dealer Parts Stock may not be of the proper hardness.
Action Required
8J6557 Bearings
Remove all 8J6557 Bearings from dealer Parts Stock that were received before September 15, 2000. Bearings that were shipped from the parts depots on or after September 15, 2000 are of the proper hardness.
8J6562 Roller Assemblies
Replace the two 8J6557 Bearings in all 8J6562 Roller Assemblies that were in dealer Parts Stock before September 15, 2000. 8J6562 Roller Assemblies that were shipped from the parts depots on or after September 15, 2000 have bearings installed in them that are of the proper hardness.
Refer to the Service Manual as necessary to replace the two bearings.

8J6557 Bearings
Submit one claim for all 8J6557 Bearings removed from dealer Parts Stock.
8J6562 Roller Assemblies
Submit one claim for all 8J6562 Roller Assemblies in dealer Parts Stock that were reworked by installing new bearings.1 hour labor and 2 8J6557 Bearings will be allowed for each roller that is reworked.

Handle the parts in accordance with your Warranty Bulletin on warranty parts handling.
