Disassembly Procedure
Start By:
Remove the gas pressure regulator.
Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.

Position the gas pressure regulator (1) on a suitable bench.

Loosen the jam nut (2).
Be sure to loosen the adjusting screw. There is extreme spring pressure which could cause personal injury if the adjusting screw is not loosened.
Loosen the adjusting screw. Note: Count the number of rotations. This is done so that the adjusting screw can be returned to the original position.

Remove the tube assembly (4).
Remove the tube assembly (5).

Remove the valve (6).

Remove the body (7) from the element assembly (8).

(7) Body. (9) Screw. (10) Washer. (11) Element. (12) Washer. (13) Cap.
Disassemble the element assembly (8).

Remove the eight bolts (15).
Remove the housing (14).

Remove the washer (16) and the spring (17).

Remove the fitting (18).
Turn over the gas pressure regulator.

Remove the four bolts (20).
Remove the housing (19) and the gasket. Check the gasket for damage. If necessary, replace the gasket. Note: Use care when you remove the spring from the housing. The spring is under pressure.
