1. If freezing temperatures are expected, allow the engine jacket water tank to cool, then check the coolant for proper antifreeze protection. Add Caterpillar Antifreeze, GM-6038M specification or equivalent, to maintain the cooling system to the lowest outside ambient temperature.
Use only recommended cooling system corrosion and antifreeze protection. Failure to do so can cause engine damage. Refer to "Cooling System Specifications" section found in this manual for more information.
2. Repair any leaks, perform minor adjustments, tighten loose bolts, etc.3. Observe the service meter reading. Perform periodic maintenance as indicated in the Maintenance Management Schedule.4. Perform all required maintenance on all driven equipment as outlined in the equipment manufacturer's (OEM) instructions.
