Brake (remote control) circuitThe components of the brake (remote control) circuit are the remote control switch, the remote control parking brake solenoids, the parking brake pressure switch, the brake accumulator oil pressure switch (brake application), the remote control parking brake light, the Power Train Electronic Control Module (Power Train ECM), and the remote control logic unit.

Top view of rear frame (7) Remote control logic unitWith the key start switch in the ON position, 24 volt power is supplied from the batteries via circuit breaker #1 to the Power Train ECM and via circuit breaker #2 to the transmission oil pressure sensor. 24 volt power is also supplied to the remote control switch and the remote control logic unit.

Remote control logic unit (8) Brake control relay #6 (9) Service brake relay N.C. #5 (10) Service brake relay N.O. #4 (11) Parking brake relay N.O. #17 (12) 1st speed relay #18When the remote control parking brake switch on the transmitter is in the ON position, a parking brake radio signal is sent to the receiver. The receiver sends a signal to remote control logic unit (7). The remote control logic unit energizes parking brake relay #17 (11), brake control relay #6 (8), service brake relay #5 (9), and service brake relay #4 (10). A signal is then sent to Power Train ECM (6). The Power Train ECM will energize parking brake solenoids (2). The parking brake is disengaged. The Power Train ECM supplies 24 volt power to remote control parking brake light (5). The remote control parking brake light will remain illuminated till the remote control transmitter parking brake switch is moved to the OFF position.When the remote control transmitter parking brake switch is in the OFF position, the remote control transmitter sends a signal to the remote control receiver. The remote control receiver sends a signal to the remote control logic unit. The remote control logic unit will de-energize the brake control relay #6, the service brake relay #5, the service brake relay #4 and the parking brake relay #17.
