Removal Procedure
Start By:
Remove the belt. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Belt - Remove and Install".

Open hood assembly (1) .
Remove two bolts (2) and the two washers. Open engine access door (3) .

Loosen the clamps and remove tube (4) .

Remove the nut and wire assembly (5) from alternator (8) .
Remove the nut and cable assembly (6) from alternator (8) .
Remove the nut and wire assembly (7) from alternator (8) .
Remove the nut and ground cable (9) from alternator (8) .
Remove four bolts (10) and alternator (8) .Installation Procedure
Install alternator (8) in the reverse order of removal.
Tighten the nut for wire assembly (5) to a torque of 4 1 N m (35 9 lb in).
Tighten the nut for cable assembly (6) to a torque of 15 3 N m (133 27 lb in).
Tighten the nut for wire assembly (7) to a torque of 4 1 N m (35 9 lb in).End By: Install the belt. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Belt - Remove and Install".
