start by:a) remove air cleaner housingb) remove pump drive1. Remove coolant from the cooling system. The capacity of the cooling system is 7.5 U.S. gal. (28.4 litre). Drain the oil from the oil pan. The capacity of the oil pan is 5 U.S. gal. (19 litre).2. Disconnect cables from the battery. 3. Disconnect wiring connectors (5). Disconnect cables (1) and (2) from the starter.4. Disconnect wire (4) that goes to the alternator. Cut the nylon straps (3) that hold the oil pressure line in place. 5. Disconnect hydraulic oil cooler lines (6) and (7). Put plugs in the lines to prevent loss of hydraulic oil and keep out foreign material. 6. Disconnect governor control linkage (9) from the lever on the governor. Remove the two bolts that hold bracket (10) to the fuel injection pump housing. Let the linkage and bracket hang along the engine.7. Disconnect fuel pressure line (8) from the fuel injection pump housing. 8. Remove bolt (12) that holds the hose clips to the water pump. Disconnect heater hoses (11) and (13) (if so equipped) from the engine. 9. Disconnect oil pressure line (15) from the rear of the cylinder block. Pull the oil pressure line clear of the engine.10. Disconnect fuel lines (17).11. Fasten a hoist to the engine. Install tooling (A) to the hoist.12. Remove four bolts (14) that hold the engine front support to the frame.13. Remove two bolts (16) from each side of the engine rear support and remove the caps. 14. Disconnect wire (18) for the water temperature gauge from the engine. Lift the engine with the hoist and keep the engine level with tooling (A). Remove the engine and radiator from the machine. The weight is 2050 lb. (923 kg).Install Engine And Radiator
1. Fasten a hoist and tooling (A) to the engine. Use tooling (A) to keep the engine level. Put the engine and radiator in position on the machine. Make sure the engine rear support blocks are in place on the frame. 2. Install caps (4) and two bolts (2) on each side of the engine rear support.3. Install two bolts (7) on each side of the engine front support.4. Connect the wire for the water temperature.5. Connect oil pressure line (1) to the rear of the cylinder block.6. Connect fuel lines (3). 7. Connect heater hoses (5) and (6) (if so equipped) to the engine. Install the bolt that holds the hose clips in place. 8. Connect fuel pressure line (9) to the fuel injection pump housing.9. Install the bolts that hold bracket (10) for the governor linkage to the fuel injection pump housing. Connect governor linkage (8) to the governor lever. 10. Connect hydraulic oil lines (11) and (12) to the hydraulic oil cooler. 11. Connect cables (13) and (14) to the starter.12. Connect wire (16) to the alternator.13. Put nylon straps (15) in correct locations. Connect wiring connectors (17) and (18).14. Connect the battery cables to the battery.
