1. Bend the lock away from bolts (1). Remove the bolts, lock and retainer (2). Remove the pulley and hub (3) as a unit. 2. Remove hub (4) from pulley (5). Remove the bearings and the spacer from hub (4). 3. Remove line (6) and fittings (10). Remove spring (7) and retainer (8). Remove spacer (9). 4. Remove dowels (13) with a hammer and a punch. Use a press to remove shafts (12) from bracket assembly (11).Assemble Fan Drive
1. Use a press to push shafts (1) and (2) into the bracket. Install the dowels in bracket assembly (3). 2. Install line (7), fittings (8), retainer (4), the nut and spring (5). Put spacer (6) in position on shaft (1) with the chamfer up. Tighten the nut to a torque of 45 7 N m (33 5 lb.ft.). 3. Install bearings (9) and (13) in hub (11) with spacer (10) between them.4. Put 5P960 Multipurpose Type Grease in the cavity between the bearings. 5. Use tooling (A) to install seal (12) in hub (11). Put the seal in the hub until the top edge is even with the outside edge of the hub. Put 5P960 Multipurpose Type Grease on lip of the seal. 6. Put hub (11) in position inside pulley (14). 7. Put bolt (15) in bracket assembly (3).8. Put the pulley and hub in position on shaft (1).
