Remove the transmission and transfer gears. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly Manual, "Transmission, Input Transfer Gears and Output Transfer Gears - Remove" for the machine that is being serviced.

Place transmission assembly (1) on suitable wood blocks, as shown. The weight of transmission assembly (1) is 1360 kg (3000 lb).

Remove 12 bolts (2) .

Install Tooling (A) to the input transfer gears (3) .
Attach a suitable hoist and lifting slings to the input transfer gears.
Remove four bolts (4) and plate (5) .
Remove the gasket between plate (5) and the transfer gear case housing.

Remove bolt (6) and retainer plate (7) .Note: The bolt and the retainer plate are located under plate (5) .
Use the hoist in order to remove input transfer gears (3). The weight of the input transfer gears is 113 kg (250 lb).
Remove the O-ring seal that is used between the input transfer gears and the transmission.

Remove tube assembly (8) .
Remove 20 bolts (9) .Note: Two of the bolts (9) are longer. Mark bolts (9) for assembly purposes.

Install Tooling (B) to transmission planetary (10). Attach a suitable hoist and lifting slings to the transmission.
Use the hoist in order to remove transmission assembly (10) from the output transfer gears (11). The weight of transmission assembly (10) is 700 kg (1540 lb).

Remove O-ring seal (13) .
Place the transmission assembly on a suitable transmission stand.
