Drain the coolant. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Cooling System Coolant (ELC) - Change" for the correct draining and filling procedures.
Turn the fuel supply to the OFF position.
Recover the refrigerant. Refer to Service Manual, SENR5664, "All Products Air Conditioning and Heating R-134a for All Caterpillar Machines" for the recovery and the charging procedure. Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Air Conditioning Tools" for the correct tools.

Remove clips (2) and disconnect hose (1).
Loosen clamp (3) and disconnect hose (4).

Remove half flanges (5) and disconnect hose assembly (6).

Remove bolts (8) and support (7). Repeat for the opposite side.
Remove baffle (9).

Disconnect hose assembly (10).

Remove door assembly (11).

Disconnect hose assemblies (12) and (13).

Remove bolts (15) and baffles (14).
Remove the hood (engine).

Loosen clamps (16) and reposition adapter hose (19) out of the way.
Remove bolts (17) and open door assembly (18).

Loosen clamps (23) and remove tube assembly (20).
Loosen clamp (21) and disconnect tube assembly (22).

Loosen clamps (25) and (27).
Reposition adapter hoses (24) and (26) out of the way.

Remove bolt (28), bolts (30), and bracket (29).
Repeat for the opposite side.

Attach Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device to cooling system package (31). The weight of cooling system package (31) is approximately 215 kg (475 lb).
Remove bolts (32) and cooling system package (31).Installation Procedure
Install cooling system package (31) in the reverse order of removal.
