Remove the modulating valve. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly , "Modulating Valve (Torque Converter Impeller Clutch) - Remove ".Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before the disassembly procedure, clean the exterior of the component thoroughly. Cleaning will help to prevent dirt from entering the internal mechanism.

Remove seal (2) from modulating valve (1) .

Remove nut (3) and coil assembly (4) .
