Information:

All measurements and observations are done with the engine running.
1. Keep the engine speed low until the engine oil pressure is in the NORMAL (green) range. If the engine oil pressure does not reach the NORMAL range within 6 seconds, stop the engine. Investigate and correct the cause.2. When the starting temperature is below 32°F (0°C), move the hydraulic controls slowly to warm the oil. The normal warm-up period is 3-10 minutes.3. Operate the engine under a light load for 5 minutes. It is possible to start the engine when the transmission control lever is not in NEUTRAL. If this happens, move the lever to NEUTRAL, then to the desired gear. 4. Check the fuel pressure gauge. If the indicator is in the RED range with the engine warm and running under a light load, service the fuel filter. 5. Check the engine oil level. Keep the oil level between the ADD and FULL marks on the ENGINE RUNNING side of the dipstick. 6. Check the transmission and differential oil level, with the engine running at low idle and at operating temperature. The oil level must be at the FULL mark on the dipstick. 7. Observe air cleaner indicator. If the RED piston is locked in the visible position, service the air cleaner element. 8. With the engine running, all indicators should go OFF. 9. Observe all gauges during operation. All gauges must be in the NORMAL (green) range. The low air pressure indicator will be ON, and the low air pressure horn will sound, until the air pressure reaches 60 PSI (415 kPa).If the ENGINE OIL PRESSURE, AIR PRESSURE or FUEL PRESSURE indicators are in the unsafe range, stop the engine and correct the cause. If the COOLANT TEMPERATURE is high, operate the engine under a light load. If the temperature does not return to NORMAL, stop the engine and correct the cause.Continue to operate if other indicators are not NORMAL. However, make corrections as soon as possible. The NORMAL operating range for the ammeter is at or on the positive (+) side of zero.
