Prior to any adjustment, refer to the "Preparations" section in Testing and Adjusting, "Operational Checks".
Connect 4000 kPa (580 psi) pressure gauges to pressure taps (1) and (2) .

Start the engine.
Lower the left console.
Place the engine speed dial in position 6.
Check the pressure readings on the gauges at pressure taps (1) and (2). Refer to Testing and Adjusting, "Specifications" in this manual for the correct swing charge pressure.Note: If the pressures at pressure taps (1) and (2) are not equal, adjust the mechanical zero position of the swing pump. Refer to Testing and Adjusting, "Swing Pump Control (Mechanical Zero) - Test and Adjust".
If the pressures are equal, but the pressures are not set at the proper specifications, adjust charging relief valve (3). The relief valve is adjusted with shims (4) .Note: One shim increases the pressure by 117 kPa (17 psi).
