The problem that is identified below does not have a known permanent solution. Until a permanent solution is known, use the solution that is identified below.Problem
The above listed machines may experience harsh shifting. This problem may be due to uneven loading on the clutch springs which leads to premature failure of the springs.Solution
Caterpillar is aware of this problem, and recommending to follow the Interim Repair solution.If harsh shifting is experienced, verify that the clutch pressures are within specifications. Refer to Testing and Adjusting , UENR3110 for , "950M and 962M Wheel Loaders" and refer to Testing and Adjusting , KENR7522 for , "525D, 535D, 535D, and 555D Wheel Skidders.".If the clutch pressures are within specification next check the transmission suction screen for any rubber seal material. If rubber seal material is found, contact dealer Technical Communicator(TC) and submit a Dealer Solution Network (DSN) request to Tier II Robert Mayberry for further instructions.
