1.1 Liter Family Of EnginesService information for the 3114 and 3116 Engines indicates the fuel injector plunger must be depressed before the rack can be moved in the injector. This is not always true. Due to variation in some dimensional tolerances, sometimes the rack can be moved without depressing the plunger. The fact that the rack can be moved without depressing the plunger DOES NOT indicate that there is anything wrong with the fuel injector group.
