This sticking may cause the engine to have low power as the limiter would not move and would continuously limit the fuel. The new improved limiter design will also reduce the stem side to side movement. This will improve the diaphragm life. The new governor includes a new oil pump which has a larger O-ring groove to improve the seal between the governor and governor drive.Adaptable To: The new 3161 Governor has a new 6I3842 Oil Pump. The new oil pump includes a new 8C5197 O-ring. The changes are adaptable to first production. The chart lists the governor part numbers for different applications.
