Apply Tooling (H) to the bores of the tilt lever. Use Tooling (D) to install the sleeve bearing in the tilt lever. Install the sleeve bearing to a depth of 9.50 0.25 mm (0.374 0.010 inch) below the outside surface of the tilt lever.
Illustration 16 g00517545Note: Before installation of the seals, Apply Tooling (F) to the bores.Note: Lubricate the sealing lips lightly with the lubricant that is being sealed.
Use Tooling (G) to install lip seal (14) on each side of the tilt lever. Make sure that the lip of the seal is facing outward.

Apply Tooling (H) to the bores of the tilt link. Use Tooling (C) to install a sleeve bearing on each end of the tilt link. Install the sleeve bearing to a depth of 10.00 1.00 mm (0.033 0.003 ft) below the outside surface of the tilt link.

Use Tooling (G) to install lip seal (13) on each side of the tilt lever. Make sure that the lip of the seal is facing outward.

Place the tilt link in position in the tilt lever. Install pin assembly (11).
Install the spacer, the washer, and bolt (10) to pin assembly (11).

Attach a suitable lifting device to tilt lever (9). The combined weight of tilt lever (9) and the tilt link is approximately 430 kg (948 lb).

Use two people to install pin assembly (8). The weight of pin assembly (8) is approximately 27 kg (60 lb). Install pin assembly (8).
Install the spacer, the washer, and bolt (7) to pin assembly (8).

Use a suitable lifting device to install tilt link (6) in position on the bucket. The weight of tilt link (6) is approximately 75 kg (165 lb). Install pin assembly (5).
Install the spacer, the washer, and bolt (4) to pin assembly (5).

Use a suitable lifting device to install tilt cylinder (3) in position in the tilt lever. The weight of tilt cylinder (3) is approximately 174 kg (384 lb). Start the machine. Extend the rod assembly of tilt cylinder (3) until the pin bore of the rod assembly is in alignment with the pin bore of the tilt lever.

Install pin assembly (2).
Install the spacer, the washer, and bolt (1) to pin assembly (2).End By:
