Hitch Linkage Adjustments
The three-point hitch on this tractor will accept category II, III, and III N implements that conform to SAE/ASAE standard dimensions. The major components of the hitch are as follows:1. Lift Links2. Center Link3. Lift Arms4. Draft Arms5. Sway BlocksSeveral adjustments can be made to the hitch linkage in order to accommodate the operational requirements of different implements. The available adjustments are as follows:Lift Link Adjustment
Three-point hitch lift links (1) are separately adjustable for length and can be used to level the implement from side-to-side. To adjust either lift link, remove retaining pin (6), raise adjusting lever (7) and rotate it to lengthen or shorten the link. After adjusting the link, lower the lever and reinstall the retaining pin. Draft Arm Float
The draft arm float feature allows the draft arms to raise and lower slightly to improve the implement's ability to follow uneven terrain. Because of this, the float feature should be enabled whenever conditions will permit. To enable draft arm float, remove retaining pin (1) and plate (2). Slide pin (3) outward until it can be rotated to align with guides (4). Slide the pin inward until it is fully seated. Reinstall plate (2), aligning it with guides as shown. Reinstall retaining pin (1).To lock out the float feature, repeat the above procedure, orienting pin and plate (2) perpendicular to the guides as shown. Center Link Adjustment
Center link (1) adjusts the fore-aft pitch of the implement relative to the tractor. To adjust the link, raise handle (2) and rotate the turnbuckle to lengthen or shorten the link. After the desired length is obtained, rotate the turnbuckle slightly as needed to orient the handle either vertically up or vertically down, then latch the handle down to the turnbuckle. This will prevent rotation of the turnbuckle. When not in use, store the center link in the "up" position by the hook provided.Draft Arm Extension
The standard draft arms are equipped with extendable ball ends to simplify hitching to implements when the three-point quick hitch is not used.To extend the draft arms, pull up on lock pin (3) and extend ball ends (4) by pulling straight out from the draft arm. After the implement is connected to the ball ends, slowly inch the tractor rearward until the ball ends seat fully into the draft arms. It may be necesary to slightly raise or lower the hitch, using the position control lever, in order to allow the extendable ball ends to slide fully into the draft arm.
Operating the tractor without the draft arm extensions fully seated can result in the extensions becoming disengaged from the draft arms, causing the implement to move unpredictably. Unstable operation of an attached implement could cause an accident and result in personal injury. Always check that the draft arm extensions are fully seated after attaching an implement.
