EID 1153 Autonomous Steering Enable Valve Not Responding to CommandEvent EID 1153 Autonomous Steering Enable Valve Not Responding to Command occurs when the "Autonomous Steering Enable Valve Position" and "Autonomous Mode" do not match. This situation can occur in various states of the machine, but will only remain active in states when the mismatch is present. For example, if the steering valve reports manual position, then EID 1153 will only be active in autonomous mode. When this event code is activated, the Autonomous Mining Truck (AMT) will come to a complete controlled stop. The following procedure can be used to troubleshoot event EID 1153.

Sub-System Schematic
Prior to beginning this troubleshooting procedure:
Ensure that the AMT is in Manual mode.
Connect to Cat ET, and verify EID 1153 is active.
If EID 1153 is active, begin troubleshooting at Test Step 2Test Step 1. VERIFY AND COMPARE COMMAND AND POSITION IN CAT ET.
Connect machine to Cat ET.
With the AMT in Manual mode, switch to Autonomous Armed mode.Note: The AMT may automatically revert to Manual Armed mode after a period of time. This change is expected and acceptable.
In Cat ET, select "Machine Control".
Click "Status".
Select "Autonomous Steering Enable Valve" option.

Compare the "Autonomous Steering Enable Valve Position Command" and "Autonomous Steering Enable Valve Position" fields.Note: The "Autonomous Steering Enable Valve Position" may take time before update appears.Expected Result:The "Autonomous Steering Enable Valve Position" does not consistently remain Autonomous or EID 1153 activates.Results:
The "Autonomous Steering Enable Valve Position" and the "Autonomous Steering Enable Valve Position Command" match. The "Autonomous Steering Enable Valve Position" maintains a consistent value. This code is an intermittent fault. Return to normal operation and watch for continued intermittent activation of EID 1153. - STOP
The "Autonomous Steering Enable Valve Position" does not consistently remain Autonomous or EID 1153 activates.
