Start By:
Remove the bottom guards.

Align sprocket segment (1) with the idler on the right side of the machine. Remove nuts (2) and the bolts. Remove sprocket segment (1). This will allow the roller frame to pivot.

Lift the blade assembly and install Tooling (D).

Position Tooling (C) as shown in Illustration 3 and raise the machine. Place a 152 mm (6.0 inch) block under the left track. Lower the machine on the block until the weight is removed from the equalizer bar pins. Refer to Tool Operating Manual , NEHS1303, "Lift Group (Stand - 25 Ton)" for more information on Tooling (C).

Use Tooling (B) and a suitable lifting device to support the equalizer bar. Remove bolts (4) and the washer. Remove pin (3). Repeat for the other side of the equalizer bar.

Disconnect tube assembly (5) and remove the fitting.

Remove bolt (6), the washer, and the spacer.
Use Tooling (E) to remove center pin (7).

Position Tooling (C) as shown in Illustration 8. Raise the machine for the removal of the equalizer bar.

Use Tooling (B). Raise the left side of equalizer bar (8). Lower the right side of equalizer bar (8) until the right side of equalizer bar (8) will clear the machine.
Lower the left side of equalizer bar (8). The weight of equalizer bar (8) is approximately 259 kg (570 lb).
