Installation Procedure
Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.
The mating surfaces on the front support for the recoil spring must be clean and free of dirt and debris prior to assembly. Ensure that the mating surfaces on the two bearings for the front idler are clean and free of dirt and debris prior to assembly.

Use a suitable lifting device in order to position front idler assembly (1) onto the track roller frame. The weight of front idler assembly (1) is approximately 170 kg (375 lb).

Use a suitable lifting device in order to install recoil spring assembly (2). The weight of recoil spring assembly is approximately 227 kg (500 lb). Install bolts (3).

Rotate front idler assembly (1) and recoil spring assembly (2).
Slide the front idler assembly (1) and recoil spring assembly (2) into the track roller frame. The weight of front idler assembly (1) and recoil spring (2) is approximately 397 kg (875 lb). Remove the suitable lifting device. Use a suitable prybar in order to press front idler assembly (1) and recoil spring assembly (2) into the final position. End By:
Connect the track assemblies. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Track - Connect".
