For machines equipped with a second auxiliary valve , replace fitting (3) with the longer 436-8945 Adapter and reinstall the hose.

Loosen the hose fittings on the control valve. Angle the fittings to the right, as shown so that any adjacent hoses to control linkages (4) have a minimum of 10 mm (0.4 inch) of clearance. Remove the vacuum pump from the hydraulic tank once the fittings are properly adjusted.

Locate two holes on control linkage mounting bracket (5) as specified in Illustration 6 and mark the locations with a marker.

Align the through-holes of bracket (6) over the marked holes in the previous step. Verify the distance shown in Illustration 7. Raise or lower the bracket to achieve the correct distance of 258 mm (10.2 inch).

Measure the distance at the other end of bracket (6) as shown. Adjust the bracket as necessary to achieve the correct distance of 51 mm (2 inch). Once the bracket is in place and the correct dimensions have been achieved, mark the new hole locations if any adjustments were made. Then drill two 9 mm holes in mounting bracket (5).

Attach bracket (6) to the mounting bracket using two bolts (7), four washers (8), and two locknuts (9). Install one clip (10) on the left bolt to secure the wiring harness.

Wrap hose guard (13) around the hydraulic hoses as shown. Loosely secure the hose guard to bracket (6) using two locknuts (12).Note: Machines without second auxiliary lines will also require installation of plate (11).

Fully extend the boom. This will require lowering the front linkage below the level of the tracks. Retract the boom swing cylinder to move the boom all the way to the right of the cab. Ensure that the hose guard is extended 10 to 15 mm ( 0.4 to 0.6 inch) away from the bracket as shown.
Tighten the locknuts on the hose guard until the end of the threads on bracket (14) have been reached.

Install about 1 m (3.3 ft) of guard (15) onto the swing hoses to prevent hose chafing on surrounding objects.

If the machine is equipped with a travel alarm, the alarm must be relocated. Drill two 7 mm holes in the specified location for the new travel alarm location.
Mount the travel alarm at the newly drilled holes. Secure the travel alarm harness away from the hose bracket to prevent chafing.
