2. Remove relief valve (1) from valve body (2). The following steps are for installation of the steering relief valve.3. Install relief valve (1) into valve body (2). Tighten relief valve (1) to a torque of 65 5 N m (48 4 lb ft).4. Fill the steering system hydraulic tank with oil to the correct level. See the Maintenance Manual.Disassemble And Assemble Steering Relief Valve (Backup)
Start By:a. remove steering relief valve. 1. Remove O-ring (6).2. Remove O-ring seal nut (2) and two o-ring seals (3).3. Remove nut (2), gasket (3), and the setscrew.4. Remove two washers (4), spring (5), plate (7) and valve (8). The following steps are for assembly of the steering relief valve.5. Install valve (8), plate (7), spring (5), and two washers (4) into the body.6. Install O-ring (3) on retainer assembly (1). Install retainer assembly (1) and O-ring seal nut (2). Torque O-ring seal nut (2) to 50 7 N m (37 5 lb ft). The minimum inspection torque for O-ring seal nut (2) is 38 N m (28 lb ft).7. Install the other O-ring seal (3).8. Install O-ring seal (6).
