The larger cooler improves heat transfer performance 6% during second gear truck loading (this value is approximate). Parts required for this modification are described in the following tablesAdaptable To: The new transmission oil cooler configuration is effective with 980G (2KR1826-Up) Wheel Loaders and adaptable to first production for the machines listed by following the modification procedures. (C) Transmission oil cooler upper water port.1. Remove the upper water line from the transmission oil cooler at Location (C). Remove 5K-0309 Hose As. (2) from the transmission oil cooler at Location (A). Remove 9U-2977 Hose As. (1) from the transmission oil cooler at Location (B).2. Remove 130-8865 Bonnet (3) and 4W-7382 Core As. (4) from the machine.3. Install all parts as shown in Illustration 2. Refer to Table 1 for the appropriate quantities of each part.
