On newer covers (Illustration 2), Use sight gauges (1) in order to check the oil level in each final drive. On the older style cover (Illustration 1), remove the six bolts (3). Make sure that the final drive is filled 31.75 mm (1.25 inch) from the inside edge of the large cover.
Maintain the oil level slightly below the centerline of the final drive.
If necessary, add oil. Note: When the machine is parked on a level surface and when the final drive drain plug (2) is in the lowest position, final drive filler plug (3) will be at the proper oil level.Note: Before oil is added, the final drives might need repositioning in order to place the drain plug in the lowest position.
