This is a 2.0-hour job
$20 is allowed for paint required to touch up after welding.
Allow 1 hr for each track roller frame if weld crack repairs are required.
Allow 6 hrs to remove and install each track roller frame that has a crack in the parent material.

Handle the parts in accordance with your Warranty Bulletin on warranty parts handling.

The track roller frames need to be inspected on the products listed below. The welds at the equalizer bar brackets may crack. You will not be charged for the service performed.
Contact your local Cat dealer immediately to schedule this service. The dealer will advise you of the time required to complete this service.
If you are no longer the owner of this product(s), please contact your local Cat dealer so that our records can be updated. Please refer the dealer to their Service Letter dated 11Oct2017 when scheduling this service.

Rework Procedure
Read and understand the Operation and Maintenance Manual for safety information and safe working practices before starting this Rework Procedure.
1. Inspect the equalizer bar brackets on the track roller frames of the machines listed above to ensure that the welds were completed appropriately. The welds should run the full length of equalizer bar bracket on the two outside surfaces. If the welds are incomplete, as shown at the arrows in the image below, it will be necessary to complete the welds.

2. If it is necessary to complete the vertical welds, add two horizontal welds across the bottom of the equalizer bar brackets, as shown at the arrows in the image below. These welds are not required for durability, but add an additional level of strength to ensure good life.

3. It is also necessary to inspect the existing welds on the equalizer bar bracket for cracks. If any cracks are found in the welds that have not propagated into the parent material of the track roller frame, gouge out the cracks and re-weld according to the guidelines in the following steps. If cracks in the welds have propagated into the parent material of the track roller frame, it is necessary to contact the DSN to determine what repair is necessary. Work with your Dealer Tech Communicator (TC) to create a DSN - Product Health Service Request (SR) and choose Base Machine
