Installation Procedure
Apply 5P-0960 Molybdenum Grease on the bearings and seals in the stick and link assembly.

Apply 5P-0960 Molybdenum Grease on pin (4). Install the right hand link assembly, left hand link assembly (3) and pin (4), as shown. Align the retaining bolt hole in pin (4) with the retaining bolt hole in left hand link assembly (3). Temporarily install retaining bolt (2) and two nuts (1) which hold pin (4) .

Prior to installing link assembly (7), be sure that the grease fitting in the rod end of the bucket cylinder is facing away from the stick.
Fasten lifting straps and a hoist to link assembly (7), and right and left hand link assemblies (6) and (10), and put the link assemblies in position on the rod end of the bucket cylinder. Apply 5P-0960 Molybdenum Grease on pin (8). Install the pin that holds the link assemblies together. Align the retaining bolt hole in pin (8) with the retaining bolt hole in the left hand link assembly. Temporarily install retaining bolt (5) and two nuts (9) .

Temporarily install an O-ring seal on each flange of the link at the pin bore for the bucket.
Apply 5P-0960 Molybdenum Grease on bucket pin (12). Push the link assembly in position in the bucket and install bucket pin (12). Put the retaining bolt hole in bucket pin (12) in alignment with the retaining bolt hole in the bucket. Temporarily install retaining bolt (13) and two nuts (11) .

Rotate pin (18) and pin (4) until the retaining bolt hole in each pin is aligned horizontally, as shown.

Tighten retaining nuts (9), (11) and (1), as shown. Tighten the outside nut until the nut is 0.5 mm (.02 inch) beyond the end of the retaining bolt. Tighten the inside nut against the outside nut to a torque of 200 40 N m (150 30 lb ft).
Lubricate the pins for the bucket control linkage. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual for the correct procedure to lubricate the pins for the bucket control linkage.
