1. Remove the bolts that fasten brake control linkage (1) and governor control linkage (2) to the governor/decelerator and brake control group.2. Remove springs (3) from the brackets. 3. Remove three bolts (4), and remove the governor/decelerator and brake control group from the tractor. 4. Loosen bolt (8), remove governor control lever (5) and the key from the control assembly.5. Remove four bolts (7) and cover assembly (6). 6. Remove two gaskets (9), plate (10), plate assembly (11), three springs (14), two rollers (12), shaft assembly (15), spring (16), and washer (13) from the cover assembly. 7. Remove housing (17) from cover assembly (6).8. Remove the seal and the bearing from housing (17). 9. Remove cotter (18), the washer and the pin.10. Put identification marks on pedal (21) and the shaft for assembly. Loosen bolt (19), cotter (20), the two washers, the shaft, and pedal (21). 11. Put identification marks on the pedal and the shaft for assembly. Loosen bolt (23), and remove pedal (24) and the washer.12. Remove the four screws and cover (22). 13. Remove cotter (27), the washer, the pin and bar (26) from lever (28).14. Remove two bolts (30), shaft assembly (29), and two levers (28).15. Remove the four screws and cover (25). 16. Remove bolts (32) from the lever. On power shift machines, remove plug (34) from the housing.17. Remove shaft (31), the lever, and the washer (42).18. Remove bearing (33) from the housing. 19. Remove the seals and bearngs (35) and (36) from the housing.20. Remove seal (37) from the housing.Assemble Governor/Decelerator And Brake Control
Pack all bearings with 5P0960 Multipurpose Grease when they are installed. 1. Use tooling (A) and drive on the stamped end of bearings (33) and (35). Install the bearings into the housing to a depth of 4.5 0.5 mm (.177 .020 in.) below the surface. Insall lip-type seals (38) and (39). Put clean oil on the lip of each seal.2. Use tooling (A) and drive on the stamped end of bearing (36). Install the bearing to be centered in the housing. Install lip-type seals (40) and (41) on each side of bearing (36). Put clean oil on the lip of each seal. 3. Put washer (42) and the lever in position, and install shaft (31).4. Install bolt (32) through the lever and the shaft.5. On power shift machines, install plug (34) into the housing. 6. Put 3S6252 RTV Silicone Adhesive/Sealant on the housing, and install cover (25).7. Install lip-type seal (37), and put clean oil on the lip of the seal.8. Put two levers (28) in position, and install shaft assembly (29). Install two bolts (30) into the levers.9. Put the pin and bar (26) in position on lever (28). Install the washer and cotter (27) onto the pin. 10. Put 3S6252 RTV Silicone Adhesive/Sealant on the housing, and install cover (22).11. Align the identification marks on pedal (24) and the shaft, and install the pedal. Tighten bolt (23) to a torque of 135 15
