Install 5K-5068 Fitting (8) and 6V-4142 Fitting (9) to 5P-0306 Vacuum Transducer (7). See Illustration 6.
Fabricate the filler cap (6). Refer to Illustration 7.
Screw the filler cap onto the hoist, and the brake section of the hydraulic tank.
Remove the air breather from the hoist, torque converter, and brake section of the hydraulic tank. Install a 9S-4183 Plug in the breather opening.
Use a 5P-1753 Suction Line Plate to block the two cooling lines for the brakes at one of the rear wheels. Note: Block the brake oil cooling lines at a convenient location.

Remove both breathers for the front wheels and the breather for the rear wheels.
Connect a 127-5588 Reducer Coupling and 6V-3966 Valved Nipple Assembly at the three breather locations.
Use a coupler and a hose to connect an 8T-0862 Pressure Gauge ( −100 to 500 kPa (−15 to 72 psi)) at each location. Note: Be sure that the oil level in the hoist and the brake section of the hydraulic tank is not too high. If the oil is too high, the oil will spray out of the transducer.
Attach an air hose from an outside air supply to the 6V-4142 Fitting (9) which is located on the fabricated filler cap.
If there is a vacuum on any pressure gauge, there is leakage in the brakes at that breather. The brakes must be repaired. Note: If the pressure on the gauge is 0.0 kPa (0.0 psi) then there is no internal leakage in the brakes on those wheels.
Disconnect the air supply from the 6V-4142 Fitting (7) which is located on the fabricated filler cap.
Remove the 5P-1753 Suction Line Plates from the cooling lines for the brakes at the rear wheels.
Use a 5P-1753 Suction Line Plate to block the two cooling lines for the brakes at the other rear wheels.
In order to check the other rear wheel brake, repeat Step 9 to Step 12.
Disconnect the air supply and remove the test equipment. The following list contains potential causes of leakage.
