Problem
Impact loading may cause final drive gear tooth root failures in certain 518 and 528 Grapple Skidders. If a final drive failure of any type occurs, both final drives on that axle should be reworked. The failure does not have to be a gear and/or bearing failure.

If a final drive gear failure occurs, both final drives on that axle can be updated to the new wider gears and related parts.
