Rework Procedure
The Rework Kit includes the following parts (Do not order them separately.):1 - 1398929 Adjustment Group1 - 9T3930 Plug - Hex3 - 1124628 Plug2 - 5W8022 Seal2 - 1398931 Connector2 - 1399237 Spring2 - 1399236 Spring2 - 1106349 Pressure Tab2 - 6V0852 Cap - Dust
I. Rework Procedure
1. For better access swing the upper frame to the left approximately. to a 30-45 degree angle.2. Stop the engine.3. Install a vacuum pump on the hydraulic tank.4. Remove the tubes and hoses as shown on Illustration 1. Close the ports at the servo piston, with the (1) 9T3930 and (3) 1124628 Plugs. Install the pressure 1106349 Tabs and 6V0852 Dust Cap using 1398931 Connectors at MA and MOB of the valve plate. See Illustration 2.

Illustration 25. Mark the Y1, Y2 and Y3 pilot lines.6. Remove the Y1, Y2 and Y3 pilot lines from the old regulator.7. Disconnect the inlet hose of the swing charging pump.8. Loosen the bolts and take off the current regulator. Be careful, the guide pins may come off, make sure that they will not fall into the pump housing. Check the visible length of the pins. If the visible length is longer than 4.5 mm either press the pin in or remove it.9. Install the new regulator group using a new O-ring and attach the seal with the tipped end of the hole pointing up and the flat side facing the new regulator group (see Illustration 3). Put in the bolts to fix seal in position. For mounting see Illustration 4.
Illustration 310. Tighten the bolts carefully crosswise, using a torque wrench to a torque of 12 N m.
Illustration 411. Connect the pilot hoses to the new located ports of Y1, Y2 and Y3 lines.12. Reconnect the inlet hose to the swing charging pump.13. Finally check if the adjustment screw is located in the "3 o'clock" position. If not then turn it into this required position. See Illustration 5.

1. Stop the engine. Install 4000 kPa (580 psi) pressure gauge to tap 1 (swing pump PRV pressure). See Illustration 6.
