Note: To ensure that the surfaces that are being sealed are free of oil, grease, and fuel, wipe the surfaces with a rag that has been soaked in isopropyl alcohol. (1) The rubber toric seals and all surfaces that contact the seals must be clean and dry before assembly. Prior to assembly, apply a thin film of oil to the contacting surfaces of the metal seal rings. The seal rings must be assembled square with the bore and the toric ring. Bulging or twisting of the seal ring should not occur. Refer to Special Instruction, SEHS8463, "Installation Of Conventional Duo-Cone Seals". (2) Apply 6V-5765 RTV Silicone Sealant to the face of the hub that is between the hub and the arm.
