START BY:a) remove rear wheels 1. Remove two covers (1) from the spindle assembly. 2. Remove spring (2) that holds the brake shoe assemblies together. 3. Remove springs (3), retainers and washers from pin. 4. Remove pin (4) and brake shoe assemblies (5). 5. Disconnect hose assembly (7) from chamber (6).6. Remove screw (8) and chamber (6) from spider. 7. Install four 3/8" NC - 1 1/4" long bolts (9) to fasten the spider assembly to the wheel spindle. 8. Install tool (A) and a hoist on the spider and spindle assembly. Remove the bolts that fasten the spindle to the receiver (10). Weight of the assembly is 59 kg (130 lb.). 9. Remove four bolts (9) to remove spider (12) from spindle (11).10. To disassemble wheel brake assembly see DISASSEMBLE AND ASSEMBLE 615 POWER TRAIN.Install Brake Assembly (Rear) And Spindle
1. Put spider (3) in position on spindle (1) and install four 3/8" - 16 NC 1 1/4" long bolts (2). 2. Install tool (A) and a hoist on the spindle and spider assembly and install it on the receiver (4). Remove bolts (5). 3. Install chamber assembly (6) in spider. Turn the chamber assembly until it reaches the bottom of the spider. Turn the chamber assembly out not more than one turn to install hose assembly (7). Tighten the setscrew to hold the chamber in position. Tighten setscrew to a torque of 20 to 23 N m (15 to 17 lb.ft). Loosen setscrew and tighten again to 6 N m (4 lb.ft.). 4. Install hose assembly (7) on chamber assembly. 5. Put brake shoes (9) in position and install pins (8). 6. Install washer (10), retainer (11) and spring (12). 7. With the two brake shoe assemblies in position, install spring (13). 8. Install covers (14) on the spindle assembly.END BY:a) install rear wheel
