At operating temperature, the hydraulic tank is hot and under pressure.Hot oil and components can cause personal injury. Do not allow hot oil or components to contact skin.Remove the filler cap only when the engine is stopped, and the filler cap is cool enough to touch with your bare hand. Remove the filler cap slowly in order to relieve pressure.
Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.
Note: Put identification marks on all hose assemblies, on all tube assemblies and on all wire harnesses for installation purposes. Plug all hose assemblies and all tube assemblies. This helps to prevent fluid loss and this helps to prevent contaminants from entering the system.
Drain the hydraulic tank into a suitable container for storage or disposal. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Hoist, Torque Converter and Brake Tank Oil - Change".

Remove guard (1).

Use a suitable lifting device to support drive shaft (2). The weight of drive shaft (1) is approximately 45 kg (100 lb).
Remove bolts (3). Use a suitable prybar to separate drive shaft (2) from the yoke.

Disconnect hose assembly (4).

Disconnect hose assembly (5), hose assemblies (6), and hose assembly (7).

Disconnect hose assemblies (8).

Remove clip (9) to disconnect hose assembly (10). Reinstall clip (9).

Attach Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device onto torque converter (18). The weight of torque converter (18) is approximately 839 kg (1850 lb).
Remove bolts (19) to remove torque converter (18).
