Replace the 287-1866 Rail Pressure Sensor with a new 293-5340 Rail Pressure Sensor.

Replace the 287-1866 Rail Pressure Sensor with a new 293-5340 Rail Pressure Sensor. The new sensor has a pig tail harness connection design that will reduce the opportunity for pin fretting. Inspect the engine harness pins at time of replacement also and repair any damaged connectors prior to reassembly. Ensure connectors seat fully and lock in place for good connection.

The fuel rail pressure sensor needs to be replaced on the products listed below. The existing sensor can intermittently lose connection. This can cause erroneous fault codes and undesired fuel rail pressure control. You will not be charged for the service performed.
Contact your local Cat dealer immediately to schedule this service. The dealer will advise you of the time required to complete this service.
If you are no longer the owner of this product(s), please contact your local Cat dealer so that our records can be updated. Please refer the dealer to their Service Letter dated 18Jan2018 when scheduling this service.
