Engine: C32 MARINE (S/N: RNZ1-560)Introduction
The problem that is identified below does not have a known permanent solution. Until a permanent solution is known, please use the solution that is identified below.Problem
Improper torque of the oil pan plug damaged the threads in aluminum oil pans that are equipped on certain C32 marine engines.Solution
Use the following Steps in order to repair the damaged threads of the engine oil pan.

( 1 ) Seals are used on current elbow. Replace seals if desired.
Remove the engine oil pan. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Engine Oil Pan - Remove and Install" for more information.

Location of port
Use a 7/16 inch drill in order to drill out the damaged Straight Thread O-ring (STOR) port.
Use a 1/4 inch NPT tap in order to create new threads in the engine oil pan port.
Clean the oil pan to ensure that no metal shavings remain from tapping the new threads.

Install fitting (1) into the engine oil pan.

Install O-ring (3) onto elbow (2), and install the elbow .
Install seal onto oil pan.Note: Apply 4C-9612 Silicone Sealant at the seal puzzle joint locations preceeding and following installation of the seal sections. Also, apply the sealant immediately prior to installation of the engine oil pan. Sealant application must span the entire joint, and must be worked into any gaps.
Install the engine oil pan. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Engine Oil Pan - Remove and Install" for more information.
