Introduction
Some units were shipped to the field with a wrong connection on the terminal block that is located in the lower control panel (2). Prior to customer delivery complete the following procedure that is described below.Problem

The generator space heaters are factory wired for 240 VAC operation using a 2-pole 15A circuit breaker. There are 2 x 120 VAC space heaters connected in series as shown in Illustration 1.

(1) Upper Control panel (2) Lower Control panel Wire CR2-12-SJ3 is shipped incorrectly connected to the terminal "H2" (4) or the terminal "N726" (6) (depending on the existing terminal block label). As a result, 240 VAC is being applied into a single resistance element instead of 240 VAC applied to a series connection of two 120 VAC resistance elements. Applying 240 VAC to a single resistance element will cause premature failure to the heater element.Solution
During genset commissioning or troubleshooting, be aware of the aforementioned connection issue and correct as necessary as per the instructions below. Panels With The New Terminal Block Labels
