Introduction
This Special Instruction contains the necessary modifications for installing the replacement transmission electronic control module.If it becomes necessary to replace the transmission electronic control module on the above compact wheel loaders, the following modification is required.Note: This procedure is necessary to prevent interference between the transmission electronic control module and the machine cab structure.Procedure
Grind or file off a small projection of the aluminum housing on the 179-2122 Transmission Electronic Control Module . Refer to Illustration 1, which shows the area to be removed.
Do NOT remove the material beyond the marked area in order to avoid damage to the seal on the transmission electronic control module.
