The seat has been moved forward for photographic purposes. You will need to move the seat toward the rear of the cab in order to perform the adjustment. The seat can be adjusted in order to remove excessive play in the slider blocks of the seat. Over a period of time, excessive play may develop at the slider blocks.Position the seat so that holes that are in the slide plate line up with the 173-5787 Setscrews that are located in the 161-9289 Slider Blocks. The seat will be in the middle of the range of fore and aft movement. Two 173-5787 Setscrews are located on each side of the seat. The setscrews are self-locking. The set screws have a 3.18 mm (0.125 inch) hex socket head. On one side of the seat, turn each set screw in a clockwise direction. 1/4 turn. Check the seat for excessive play in the slider blocks. If excessive play is still evident, move to the other side of the seat and repeat the procedure. Follow this procedure until the excessive play has been corrected.Note: You often need to adjust one side of the seat. The seat should slide with ease when you are done with the adjustment. The seat should not have excessive play in the slider blocks.
