Start By:a. remove rear wheel 1. Remove two covers (1). 2. Remove spring (2). 3. Remove springs (3), the retainers, and the washers. 4. Remove pins (4) and brake shoe assemblies (5). 5. Disconnect hose assembly (7) from chamber (6).6. Remove screw (8) and chamber (6). 7. Install four 3/8" NC - 1 1/4" long bolts (9) to fasten the spider assembly to the wheel spindle.8. Install tool (A) and a hoist on the spider and spindle assembly. Remove the bolts that fasten the spindle to receiver (10). The weight of the assembly is 59 kg (130 lb). 9. Remove four bolts (9) and spider (12) from spindle (11).10. 1. Put spider (12) in position on spindle (11) and install four 3/8"-016 NC - 1 1/4" long bolts (9). 2. Install tool (A) and a hoist on the spindle and spider assembly and install it on receiver (10). Use an alternating sequence and tighten the bolts that hold the spindle to the receiver to a torque of 300 50 N m (222 37 lb ft). Then tighten the bolts an additional 120° 5°. The final torque must be a minimum of 575 N m (426 lb ft).3. Remove bolts (9). 4. Install chamber assembly (6). Turn the chamber assembly until it reaches the bottom of the spider. Turn the chamber assembly out not more than one turn to install hose assembly (7). Tighten setscrew (8) to hold the chamber in position. Tighten the setscrew to a torque of 20 to 23 N m (180 to 200 lb in). Loosen the setscrew and tighten again to 6 N m (50 lb in). 5. Put brake shoes (5) in position and install pins (4). 6. Install the washer, the retainer, and spring (3). 7. Install spring (2). 8. Install covers (1).End By:a. install rear wheel
