B     187-2718     Filter Wrench As     1    Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before assembly, all parts should be thoroughly cleaned in cleaning fluid. Allow the parts to air dry. Wiping cloths or rags should not be used to dry parts. Lint may be deposited on the parts which may cause later trouble. Inspect all parts. If any parts are worn or damaged, use new parts for replacement.

Install Tooling (A) and O-ring seals (10) .

Install engine oil cooler (9) and the gasket.

Install engine oil filter base (6), the gasket, studs (7), and bolts (5) .
Use Tooling (B) to install engine oil filter (8) .
Remove Tooling (A) .

Connect hose assemblies (2), cables (3), and harness assembly (4) .

Install shield assembly (1) .
Turn the battery disconnect switch to the ON position.
Fill the cooling system. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Refill Capacities".
Close the engine hood.
