When wipe does not pick up any dirt or debris, the spindle and wheel assembly are clean.
Measure dimensional tolerances on the spindle. Refer to Guide, SEBF9238, "Fundamentals of Arc Spray for Reconditioning Components", Guide, SEBF9240, "Fundamentals of Flame Spray for Reconditioning Components", or Guide, SEBF9236, "Fundamentals of High Velocity Oxygen Fuel (HVOF) Spray for Reconditioning Components".
Cover the spindle and wheel assembly with a protective covering until ready for reassembly.
Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.
After the front wheel group assembly has been completed, refer to Guideline For Reusable Parts And Salvage Operations, SEBF8483, "Procedure for Kidney Looping Front Wheel Groups of 793 and 797 Off-Highway Trucks ". This procedure will reduce the contamination in the system to an acceptable ISO level. This activity must be done prior to returning the machine to service. Once in service, collect an S O S. analysis at 250 hours and count the particle of the oil. Contaminant levels will dictate when subsequent kidney loop filtering is required.
