Illustration 2. 5P6602 Adapter.The 5P7345 Gauge is to be used as follows:
1. Remove EGR tube and actuator cover.2. Turn lever (A) clockwise and put 5P7345 Gauge into opening (B). Install nut on stud to hold the gauge in place (Illustration 3).
Illustration 3. Installation of 5P7345 Gauge.3. Loosen locknut (C) on actuator rod. Loosen rod from rod end (D) a few turns. Then turn rod into rod end until resistance is felt (Illustration 4).4. Tighten locknut to 31.2 4.5 lb in (3.52 0.55 N m). Remove 5P7345 Gauge and install EGR tube and actuator cover.The 5P6602 Adapter, which is a direct replacement for the 5P4226 Adapter, can be used on all sleeve metering fuel systems.
