Remove Clutch And Drive
1. Disconnect rod (1) from the lever on the clutch and drive housing. Remove two bolts (2) from the bracket that holds the hydraulic lines to the clutch and drive housing. Disconnect the hydraulic lines (3) and remove them. 2. Remove bolts (5) and remove drive shaft yoke assemblies (4). 3. Fasten a hoist to the clutch and drive. Remove the bolts (7) that hold the clutch and drive to the winch base.4. Remove the clutch and drive (6). Weight of the unit is 525 lb. (238 kg).Install Clutch And Drive
1. Fasten a hoist to the clutch and drive (1). Put the unit in position on the winch base and install the bolts that hold it. 2. Install the two yoke assemblies (2) and install the bolts that hold them. Tighten the bolts to a torque of 40 5 lb.ft. (54.2 6.8 N m). 3. Connect hydraulic lines (4) and install two bolts (5) that hold them to bracket on the clutch and drive housing. Connect rod (3) to lever on the clutch housing.Disassemble Clutch And Drive
The clutch and drive does not have to be removed from the machine to disassemble the unit. 1. Disconnect rod (2) from the lever on the housing assembly.2. Disconnect rod (3) from the lever on the housing assembly.3. Remove bracket (1) from the hydraulic lines.4. Remove twelve bolts (4). Remove housing assembly (5).
Do not cause damage to the seal in the housing assembly when it is removed.
5. Remove the seal and snap ring from the housing assembly. 6. Remove bearing (6) from the housing assembly with tooling (B). 7. Remove four bolts (7) and cover (8).8. Loosen bolt (10) and the nut. Remove lever (9).9. Remove two bolts (11). 10. Loosen two bolts (15). Remove the two keys from the lever and shaft assembly. Remove lever and shaft assembly (14) from the housing assembly.11. Remove bushing (12) from the housing assembly.12. Remove bearing (13) from the housing assembly. 13. Remove collar assembly (16) from the shaft.14. Pull lockpin (18) out. Turn yoke (17) counterclockwise to remove it from the threads on the hub and the back plate assembly. 15. Remove pressure plate (20) slowly from the hub to prevent a loss of the springs from behind the pressure plate.16. Remove six springs (19).17. Remove two plate assemblies (21) and the plate from the clutch housing.18. Remove two bolts, lock and washer (22) from the shaft. 19. Remove race (25) from the end of the shaft.20. Slide sleeve (24), hub and back plate (23) off of the shaft.21. Remove the drive chain from the clutch. See REMOVE REVERSE GEAR BOX. 22. Remove two keys (26) from the shaft. Slide flange (27) and the sprocket assembly as a unit off of the shaft.23. Remove the cotter pins and nuts that hold the sprocket assembly and the flange together. Remove the flange from the sprocket assembly. 24. Remove sleeve (34). Remove seal (33) from the sprocket assembly.25. Remove ring (31)
